Meet the Team


Karrie Carlin, President

Karrie has been in organization and strategy consulting with business clients in all types of industries since the late 1990s.  She founded Performance Impacts, LLC in 2009 and has worked with large Fortune 100 companies to smaller, family-owned businesses and non-profit organizations. Her expertise includes change integration, organizational development, succession planning, executive coaching, leadership assessment, leadership and team development, and strategic planning. Karrie has assisted many organizations with enhancing the performance of their business and talent in order to achieve its business objectives. Prior to Performance Impacts, Karrie led the Human Capital consulting practice for MarketSphere Consulting in St. Louis. She also led the Learning and Organizational Effectiveness Consulting Team at Edward Jones. Karrie initially began her career as a senior consultant in the Strategy, Organization and People Practice at Arthur Andersen both in Chicago and St. Louis

Karrie has her Masters in Human Resource Management from Washington University. She is also on the Women's Leadership Council for the Humane Society, St. Louis University's Law School HR Advisory Board, on the board of the Notre Dame Women's Club of St. Louis. Karrie also teaches at Washington University in the Human Resource Management graduate program.

“Teaching at Wash. U. has been a valuable experience in that my students generally don’t have experience in large organizational change projects and so watching them soak up the concepts and practical ways to manage large scale projects is a great way for them to gain new skills they can take back to any job”.

DIANA JOHANNESSEN, Managing Director

Diana Johannessen is a highly skilled senior level Talent Management consultant focusing on a broad range of disciplines with a particularly deep focus on Change Management. Diana has over fifteen years of consulting experience working with clients on optimal use of technology, process and people in strategic talent management initiatives or technology implementations. Her experience has primarily been with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 clients with extensive experience in managing staffing, human resources and technology teams in leading them through change. Most recently, she completed a 3-year talent acquisition strategy project which led to a usability and optimization study, and business process transformation project, and organizational assessment at a leading pharmaceutical corporation. She has also served as a Regional Account Director for a human capital management services firm leading project teams directly responsible for evaluation, selection and implementation of enterprise-wide candidate management, compensation management, performance management, succession planning and employee portal systems. Diana has led projects as a domain expert in all areas of talent management during the customer lifecycle with a focus on expanding existing client relationships.

STACEY FITZGERALD, Organizational and Leadership Development Consultant

Stacey has approximately 15 years of operations leadership experience within Fortune 100, small-business, and non-profit organizations.  She has worked with Performance Impacts for almost 5 years and excels in Leadership Development,
Change Management, Process Optimization, Strategy Development, Performance Management,
and Brand/Marketing Optimization. Her career prior to consulting was spent in organizations such as PepsiCo, Robert Half International, New York Life,     ITC Systems, and Covenant Theological Seminary, and is highly skilled in leadership coaching and leading business optimization projects.

Stacey brings expertise and insights to clients as a result of leading teams in customer service, sales, and operations, and has managed multiple HR and brand/communications functions. Within her career, she has implemented and managed multiple strategic planning processes, succession planning and employee development initiatives, employee performance and manager training, and donor and marketing-related capital campaign activities. Stacey has been named Most Valuable Player and recipient of Outstanding Teamwork Award by her employers and teammates.

Stacey received her B.A. and M.A. in Experimental Psychology from Texas Tech University and has enjoyed numerous professional experiences, such as: 

  • Workshop facilitator for COCABiz and other regional organizations

  • Private leadership and communications coach for many St. Louis executives

  • Senior Administrator and President Cabinet member within Higher Education

Stacey also enjoys developing and delivering customized workshops for a variety of clients as well as  facilitating discussions for executive management teams. She excels in helping organizations and individuals understand themselves and those around them.
